On 27. May Norway will open the borders for anglers from Greenland, Iceland and parts of Finland. (Areas in Europe with under 25 new Covid cases per 100000 people). Anglers from these areas can travel to Norway starting 27. May without Covid test or quarantine. People from rest of Europe may need to wait few more weeks to be able to enter Norway.
Norway is planning to join the EU Covid Certificate travel pass which is planned to come into effect on late June/1. July. Certificate will make it easier to travel between different countries in Europe. The travel pass will be a QR code on a smartphone or printed on paper. By accepting the travel pass, countries agree to drop additional travel restrictions, such as further testing or quarantine, unless the measures are necessary.
There is a chance that Norway will open the borders with some European countries in June before the EU Covid Certificate comes into effect. This possibility will be based on national Covid Certificates.
