Fly fishing trip to one of the most famous salmon river in the world, the Spey in Scotland. Fishmaster will arrange a hosted fly fishing trip to the Spey, Tulchan on 14.-21. April 2024. Two open rods.

Destination will be the famous Tulchan A/B beat in the middle part of the Spey. April-May is prime spring fly fishing time on the Spey. The host of this fly fishing trip will be Jouni Rauha.

Our fly fishing group will fish the Tulchan A/B beat on the middle Spey. Both Tulchan A and B beats are about 2 miles (3,0 km) of superb double bank fly water in stunning surroundings restricted to 6 rods each. Our group of 6 persons will fly fish Tulchan B beat on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. On Wednesday and Thursday our group will fly fish Tulchan A beat.

The Tulchan Water on the River Spey is part of the stunning scenery of the Spey valley. Tulchan Water is one of the more prolific beats on the Spey in numbers of fish caught, and in size, such that this stretch of one of the premier Scottish rivers is part of many an angler’s ambition. There is comfortable fishing hut with toilet and cooking facilities on each beat. Fishers are accompanied on the river by a full time ghillie.

Accomodation for group will be in a large Knocktulchan Lodge, within a short driving distance to the Tulchan beats. Knocktulchan is a traditional Scottish farmhouse of substantial size, now fully modernised in old style luxury. This impressive building still retains many of its original features and boasts six en-suite bedrooms, a large dining room, a large traditional kitchen and a sizeable lounge. We will cook the meals together in accomodation.
