Fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon on the Suldalslågen River in Southwestern Norway. Fishmaster will arrange a fly fishing trip to the Stråpa beat on 18.-25. September 2024. Suldalslågen is the largest and one of the best salmon rivers in Southwestern Norway. Suldalslågen is famous for very big salmon, the biggest ones are over 20 kilos. Jouni Rauha will work as a host for this fly fishing trip.

We will fly fish the beautiful, private Stråpa beat situated in the upper part of Suldalslågen River, about 21 km from the sea. The Stråpa beat is the uppermost beat of the Suldalslågen. It consists of 1,3 km of South (Left) bank and 0,7 km of North (Right) bank of famous River Suldalslågen. The beat consists three good salmon pools: Stråpahölen (Strengjen), Flåto and Notahölen. Our Fishmaster group of 4 persons will fly fish exclusively the Stråpa beat. Fishing begins on Wednesday at 18:00 and ends next Tuesday at 18:00. Check in for the accomodation is at 15:00 on Wednesday and check out is 10:00 on next Wednesday morning.

Accomodation for guests is arranged in a renovated old house located in Suldalsåsen, close the Stråpa fishing beat. It is only 300 m short walk from the house to the beat. There is a living room, a well equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 x toilet/shower. Every angler will have a single bedroom. Guests can cook the meals in a self catering kitchen.
