Gaula Flyfishing Lodge, Norwegian Flyfishers Club, Winsnes Flyfishing Lodge, and GFF stand together against the new Gaula fishing regulations for season 2024.
Committed to responsible fishing, we oppose these changes that threaten the survival of wild Gaula salmon by removing weekly catch limits, reducing protection period for female salmon and an increase in the size limit for catching and killing larger salmon.
Our fly fishing lodges have committed to continue following the responsible and proven previous personal quotas and protection period for female salmon from July 1st to August 31st.
In addition we have decided to protect the most valuable big Gaula salmon by releasing all salmon over 95 cm long.
We believe in sustainable fishing practices that protect the salmon population for current and future generations. Join us for preserving wild Gaula salmon.
